F*ck You, John Lennon!
Thursday - Saturday at 8 p.m. | July 14 - August 12
Originality is dead and so is John Lennon… maybe. May, a struggling Chicago artist accidentally summons the ghost of John Lennon into her apartment. Sounds fun, right? Turns out, John Lennon can be a total dick. Christian, May’s roommate and drag queen personality ‘Yoko Homo’, is pretty okay with the situation, so long as John pays rent. Featuring live music, modern dance, lip-sync performances and tons of Beatles references, F*ck You, John Lennon questions what it means to be an artist and if there is any originality left in this world.
F*ck You, John Lennon is the newest, original “unoriginal” dark comedy from Corn Productions. Written and directed by Artistic Director Kallie Rolison, this 90-minute play features an 8-person cast of musicians, dancers and theatre artists, including: Nick Ferrin, Deanna DeMay, Winter Jones, Katie Ratliff, Julia Trevor, Devon Nimerfroh, Emily Moon, and Catherine Cable-Barber. This production contains strong language, drug usage, and adorable fish costumes. So grab your favorite Beatles-themed cocktail and Come Together at Cornservatory (which is always BYOB) for a British invasion comedy of the darkest kind.
